For our December party, we've decided to do something a little bit special again. After literally years of chasing him, we've finally managed to secure the services of one of the UK dance music's finest exports – Mr Dave Lee, aka JOEY NEGRO. Aside from being famous for having the most musical pseudonyms known to man, Dave Lee is without doubt one of the most successful UK artists in dance music history. With hundreds of releases and hundreds more remixes under his belt, Joey Negro has been nothing short of prolific for almost 2 decades. He's remixed everybody from Masters at Work to Bob Marley, has had countless crossover hits and has even produced a Take That record… but throughout all this, he remains one of the most important purveyors of underground music in the world. He is a self-confessed disco obsessive and has been recognized as one of the world's biggest vinyl collectors of the genre. It was through this obsession that Dave was asked to compile the fantastic Disco Spectrum series for BBE records, which helped landscape disco and boogie history for the house obsession nation. As well as his disco mastery, Dave has always been one of the finest house DJs around, with headline slots all around the world including regular high profile appearances at Pacha in Ibiza and Southport Weekender. Ever since we started doing parties we've been trying to get Dave to come and rock Manchester with his distinctive mix of deep house, disco, soul and early garage classics. We're very pleased to welcome him along in December!
