Osunlade Bio >>
Next up on at our little boudoir in the Northern Quarter is Osunlade, ticket details will be up by the end of the week. We're extremely excited to present a man who is widely regarded as one of the worlds top DJ's and producers as our guest DJ for March's Development: OsunladeProduction-wise Osunlade has developed his own sound: Organic, percussive and deeply soulful. He started his label, Yoruba Records in 1999. Initial success of the label was exponential with releases such as 'Change' with Erro achieving worldwide success. The label continues to release cutting edge latin influenced deep house featuring a diverse selection of artists with recent releases including 'Just a breath away' with Nadiraah Shakoor and Atewelo's 'New Day' catching our eyes. Class. His quality can also be seen in the artists who request his remixing services, take 4Hero, Incognito, Roy Ayers, Masters at Work, Jazzy Jeff, Salif Keita, India Arie & Ms Dynamite for starters. The first time we saw Osunlade DJ we were hooked. The music was absolutely amazing. As with his productions, he has a signature sound when DJ'ing: Deep and tracky but also intense and hypnotic (you'll probably understand this by about 2:30am). He's certainly not one to stick to current trends or the latest releases, so expect something different. In addition to this, we also have two of Manchester's most obsessive vinyl enthusiasts making a welcome return to the backroom for another master class in rare soul and disco, Niall Jordan & Mark Lupton of 'All in Good Time'. They totally rocked it last time they played, so we'll be expecting nothing less on March the 3rd. We can't wait for this one! |
